Your Phone Book: What to do with Unused Numbers

This Week’s Challenge:

When so many people were blessed by this in April, we thought, why not do it again? So here it is: this week’s challenge is to utilize those unused numbers in your phone book.

Here’s how to do it:

Go through your phone book. Pick one person (or more) and encourage them. Let them know that you are supporting all the good things in their life, that they can achieve and can overcome. Ask them if they need prayer. If they do, pray for them. If not, pray a blessing over them. It doesn’t have to be a long conversation — maybe five minutes or less. Just give them a call (or text) saying you thought about them and wanted to wish them well. You’ll be surprised by how much this could help them.

When we did this before, the feedback was great. So many people were thankful for that simple call and text. It’s best to call early in the day (if possible). You never know how someone’s previous day was or what they know they’ll have to encounter. Your phone call/text can help give them a better perspective about their day.

Philippians 2:1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love. 3 ….in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
