Proverbs about Wisdom*:


Where does wisdom come from?

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

(Proverbs 2:6)

The Benefits of Wisdom:

For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
(Proverbs 2:10)

Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,  from men whose words are perverse. (Proverbs 2:12)

Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman,   from the wayward woman with her seductive words. (Proverbs 2:16)

Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding. (Proverbs 3:13)

The wise inherit honor, but fools get only shame. (Proverbs 3:35)

Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. (Proverbs 4:6)

 The path of life leads upward for the prudent to keep them from going down to the realm of the dead. (Proverbs 15:24)

The Value of Wisdom:

For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverbs 8:11)

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver! (Proverbs 16:16)

Know also that wisdom is like honey for you: If you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. (Proverbs 24:14)
