WARNING: This May Be Limiting Your Abundance

This Could Be Limiting Your Abundance

You can do all you can and not get where you want to be. You can try as hard as you can and not achieve what you want to accomplish. Situations like this become frustrating. Why aren’t you prospering? You’ve asked God, you’ve prayed the prayer of abundance, and still no results.
Maybe you’re unconsciously limiting your abundance…
1. You can never stop God from blessing you; however, what you say and what you do may prevent you from receiving His blessings.
To get positive, you have to send out positive.
What kind of words are you speaking? There is power in the words that you say. Every syllable, every word, and every sentence you say will either help you or hurt you: never in between. If you aren’t receiving the abundance you want, perhaps it’s because your words are speaking against the abundance God is trying to send you. “From the Lord comes the reply of the tongue (Proverbs 16:1).”
Are you selfish? Do you try to cheat or swindle people? You will never get more by taking away from others. It may seem that way, but it isn’t. You’re doing yourself a disservice.  In fact, it is by giving to others that you receive:

Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full–pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38 NLT
2. You’re too comfortable with life.
It’s easy to become comfortable: life is going good—but not great—and although you may want more, you’ve become complacent with settling for what you have.
My friend, God is always going to bless you with better things, and He wants to bring you higher. If you are too fixed and resilient in moving from the spot you’re in, how can you have more abundance? Always be prepared for God to increase your prosperity and enlarge your territory. If you want to move forward in life, you to have to do just that: move.
3. You question your worthiness.
There will always be people in life who are entitled to more but feel unworthy and accept less. Don’t be one of them!
Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came to give you life more abundantly. And because the gift of abundance has your name on it, it’s for you. You don’t have to qualify; you don’t have to wait until you meet specific requirements. Jesus wants to give you abundance. All you have to do is receive it. You are worthy of it because He wants to create a surplus, an increase, and an overflow of wealth (health, finances, joy, love, peace, etc.) in your life.
4. You have abundance but haven’t realized it.
Today, I was at the store and saw a product that I thought I needed. It was a necessity, and I had a good purpose in making the purchase. The problem was when I got home, I realized I already had it.
Perhaps it is the same with you. You’re looking for an abundance God has already given you. You’re living the abundant life, and you’re either unaware of it or not thankful for it. Evaluate your life. You may realize the very thing you are seeking is right in front of you.
This is just a short list of things we all may do to limit our abundance. If you truly are seeking and praying for abundance, but haven’t received it in your life, ask God. He’ll tell you why.
