March Daily Challenges

These are all the daily challenges. Each day (usually in the morning) one will be posted here. They are all things the Bible calls us to do and it is my hope by doing them you become a better person.

Remember, just because the day is over doesn’t mean we should stop doing them. It simply means the next day offers another challenge to be more Christ-like.

Today’s Challenge: March 31 2011

Pick a daily challenge from this month and do it.

If you’ve missed a daily challenge or didn’t do too well on one of them, this is an opportunity to go back and retry it. God bless.

(Note: because it is the last day of March, all April challenges will be listed under “April Daily Challenges”. All new challenges after today will not be listed on this post.)

Today’s Challenge: March 30 2011

Evaluate your life. Is it pleasing to God?

If you stood before the throne of God, right now, this second, do you think God would be pleased with your life? Each day this month a daily challenge has been posted. They are all things that the Bible instructs us to do. Are any of them part of your lifestyle? My friend, we do not know the day that Jesus Christ will return, but before He does, make sure your life is pleasing to God. If you are unsure, remember that you can always pray and ask God.

Today’s Challenge: March 29 2011

Look for an opportunity or try to make one to tell someone about Jesus!

In Mark 16:15 and Matt. 28:19, we are instructed to go out into the world and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. So just like someone once told you about Christ, share the good news with someone else.

Today’s Challenge: March 28 2011

Don’t worry.

What are you worrying about? Do you not know that you serve and belong to the Almighty God? God loves you and He will provide all your needs. In Matthew 6:25-31, Jesus says if God will take care of the birds and the nature outside then He will take care of you too and even more. Christ also tells us in Matthew 6:8 that God knows your needs before you even ask! Trust your Heavenly Father that He will provide for you.

Today’s Challenge: March 27 2011

Seek wisdom.

Today’s Challenge: March 26 2011

Don’t be judgmental.

Don’t judge others. It is not our responsibility to judge. We are to take people as they are. If you see a characteristic in someone that you dislike and it is not positive try to make them better, not for you sake– for theirs. The Bible says in Matthew 7:1-2, if you don’t judge others God wont judge you, but if you do, God will judge you in the same way and as harsh as you have judged them.

Today’s Challenge: March 25 2011

Don’t ask God for anything, instead, thank Him for all He has done and will do.

God doesn’t mind when we ask for anything, Jesus tells us that we do not have because we do not ask. But let today be a day of thanksgiving. Thank God for all He has done and if there is something you need, instead of asking, thank Him for it in advance.

Today’s Challenge: March 24 2011

Wait in expectation.

The Bible says in Psalms 5:3, “In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.”  How many times do we ask God for things, constantly pray over and over, and yet– doubt that He will do it? We need to be like David and have faith. He knew God heard his voice so he waited in expectation; He knew that in time, God was going to fulfill his request. I encourage you to have faith, trust God, and wait in expectation that He too, will answer your request.

Today’s Challenge: March 23 2011

Have respect.

Respect others. We must all respect each other’s ideas, beliefs, culture, possessions, and even personal space! Do not be rude either. Respect means honoring or showing esteem. Just because you don’t agree or do not like someone does not give you the right to be disrespectful.

Today’s Challenge: March 22 2011

Ignore insults.

Proverbs 12:16 says, A fool shows his annoyance at once, but the prudent [wise] man overlooks an insult.
(Sue Edwards, a Christian blogger, wrote a beautiful article on this).

Today’s Challenge: March 21 2011

Learn who you are in Christ Jesus and what God has said about you.

The Bible says:

  • You are a child of God. (John 1:12-13)
  • You are a friend of Jesus. (John 15:15)
  • You have been justified and redeemed. (Romans 3:24)
  • You are a heir of Jesus. (Romans 8:17)
  • You are a temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
  • You are blessed. (Ephesians 1:3)
  • You have been predestined by God to obtain an inheritance. (Ephesians 1:11)

Today’s Challenge: March 20 2011

Be understanding.

Try to be understanding of others. Try to view things from their perspective. It’ll help you grow more in all of your relationships.

Today’s Challenge: March 19 2011

Have hope.

Look at life from an optimistic point of view. Have hope that everything will work out according to how God destined it to be.

Today’s Challenge: March 18 2011

Forgive.

This may be the hardest challenge yet, for some of you. Do not hold grudges with people, let go. Forgive others for anything they have done to you. Even if they do not ask to be. Why should you? According to the Bible, if you forgive others, God will forgive you; likewise, if you chose not to forgive God will not forgive you. In order to be forgiven, you too must forgive.

Today’s Challenge: March 17 2011

Don’t complain! Don’t be negative!

If you follow my Twitter you may have seen me speak about this before. But in time if you find yourself complaining, think of the people who lives have been drastically changed by natural disasters and those who wish that had something to complain about. If it’s your job, praise God that you have one, your finances, praise Him that you have finances to talk about, your family, be glad you have a family to go to. Whatever the situation might be, give God thanks for it instead of complaining about it.

Today’s Challenge: March 16 2011

Throughout your day, pick a time to spend at least 15 minutes with God.

You can pray, read the Bible, worship, praise– whatever you like. God loves you, and if you love Him too, you ought to spend time with Him.

Today’s Challenge: March 15 2011

Be faithful.

Do the task you said you would do, follow through on your word, and be faithful towards your partner (if you have one).

Today’s Challenge: March 14 2011

Think pure thoughts.

The Bible says in Philippians 4:8, Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things.

Today’s Challenge: March 13 2011

Pray for others.

Spend time praying for family, friends, the poor, abused children, and our
leaders. The Scripture tells us to pray without ceasing.

Today’s Challenge: March 12 2011

Think before you act.

Do you respond mainly by compulsion or do you think about your actions first?
Always think before you say and do anything. Sometimes we do have to act with
little time to think, but when you do have the opportunity, take time to think
things through. The Bible says in Proverbs that the wise person gives
thought to their ways.

Today’s Challenge: March 11 2011

Count your blessings and then thank God for them.

God continues to bless us even though we do not always say thank you. Take even the “smallest” things into account such as: breathing without a respirator, waking up, being able to read, having happiness, clean water, new opportunities, etc. Don’t take anything for granted.

Today’s Challenge: March 10 2011

Be happy.

Happiness is a state of mind. No one can make you happy; you have to chose to
be. Even if something happens throughout your day that gets your upset,
frustrated, or stressed, still try to be happy. When you have joy you’re more
enthusiastic, optimistic, and you feel better about life. If you can find joy
in bad times you will find it easier to maintain a positive attitude.

Today’s Challenge: March 9 2011

Do something nice for someone.

Help someone in need, offer a favor, spend time comforting someone, or simply
encourage a friend. Whatever it is, let it be something of merit and honor.

Today’s Challenge: March 8 2011

Have patience.

Yes, no one really likes waiting, but remember that greatness is not achieved
quickly. Be patient towards others, someone was once patient towards you. Take
time to enjoy life! Don’t try to rush it, because you may miss wonderful things
if you do.

Today’s Challenge: March 7 2011

Try to display love towards everyone. Including your enemies.

[And by love, we mean the kind shown in 1 Corinthians 13!]

TODAY’S CHALLENGE: March 6 2011

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

The Holy Bible: Proverbs Chapter 3 Verse 5 (NIV)
