Weekly Encouragement

God Will Take You Higher!

I am so elated! 2012! Another year to praise, glorify, and receive the blessings God has planned for us.
The Bible says God has plans to prosper us (Jeremiah 29:11), and I firmly believe some of those prosperous plans will be manifested in our lives this year.
2012 is exciting for so many reasons. We have a brand new vision for this year, a yearly theme for 2012 that God placed on my heart during November, an enlarged team ready to bless you, and so much more.

With great joy, I welcome Katrina Jovan who will be the prayer director here at Proverbs and Wisdom. She will be continuing The Prayer Movement and establishing it as a permanent part of our ministry. She has weekly prayer themes and will be leading a prayer team: a group of individuals who are specifically dedicated to praying for the prayer requests you send us.
I am also introducing you to Oluwole Joseph, our newest writer, who will begin his series Pastor, who do I marry?  which I pray will bless you all. And please get to know Camille Snow, a columnist from Kingdom Princess, who will be writing with us this year.
Last but not least, I cannot forget Stephen and Christlove who has been with us already, who will continue to bless us with their godly insight.
Now, for our theme.
Last year, every month had its own theme and we focused on it. However, this year we are doing something slightly different.
After prayer and studying, our yearly theme is based upon Romans 12:1-2 (KJV):
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Our Father, God, placed it upon my heart to focus on the words “transformed” and “acceptable unto God”. He wants us to leave the former lifestyles of our past, submit to His will, and allow Him to prosper us, bless us, guide us, and develop a deeper relationship with Him. God desires for us to be acceptable to Him and that can only occur if we let go of everything that isn’t holy and righteous before Him.
As I have said before, our team is only writers—God is the author. I pray that this year God directs our words and the windows of Heaven open above us all.
God wants to bring us higher individually and together as Christ’s body. I speak it into existence that nothing may hinder the work God is presently doing and will be doing in our lives and those we touch.
And–please don’t forget to subscribe to receive our articles via email!

May Jesus Christ’s peace be with you!
Your Founder and In Christ’s Love,
Ashley Ormon
P.S. Beginning January 4th and ending January 31st, I will be in prayer and studying the Word of God. If you notice my absence, it is not permanent. I am filled with expectation that when I come back in February, God will have a wealth of wisdom for me to share with you. Until then, remained blessed and I hope you are touched by what Proverbs and Wisdom’s team has in store for you!

Brenda, thank you for stopping by! I hope this year we all follow Jesus more and whatever God has planned for us all comes to pass. Happy New Year's to you and your family!

It is nice to see your desire to follow the liight but why only when you are in need of forgiveness. Do you and your children worship the lord weekly and give thanks daily or just pray when in need. God looks into the heart and can see the true colors of one soul. He who sins knowingly shall be punished tenfold. Don't take the mercy of our lord Jesus lightly as he deserves respect and ongoing trust. We need to be accountable for our actions and one would wonder what you have done recently to promote your sudden eagerness to follow the light. Care to share?

Hello, I am not sure who this is; however, we are not to judge people and it seems that is what you have done towards Brenda. She simply said she desires to follow Christ more and be receptive to all He has in store for her. That should be all of our desire despite where we are in our relationship with God. We should all want more of God and less of us. Here at Proverbs and Wisdom all comments are to be in love, gentle, and encouraging. Please make sure before commenting in the future, your words reflect those of Christ's love. Thank you. -Ashley Ormon
