What are you eating? Does your life reflect Christ, or what the world feeds you?
When Jesus was on earth He said, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world” (John 6:51).
All we need in life is Christ and Christ alone. If we eat His daily bread every day, we will grow spiritually and fulfill God’s perfect and righteous will for us.
As followers of Christ Jesus, we should be obedient to the Word and read it daily. Every day we miss out on reading God’s word is another day our spirit misses out on its spiritual food. Reading God’s living word every day is necessary to grow in Christ, spread the good news, and be grounded in Him.
Even when you have those days where you don’t feel like reading, don’t put off reading the Bible. Ask God to incline your heart to His word. Ask God to help you focus and become attentive to what He has to tell you.
Today, eat the Word of God.
“Give us today our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11).
